Our Arhuaca Mochila Bag is a foundational piece—one that marks the origin of the Claudia Akel brand. Handwoven by the Arhuaco community in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, it is crafted from sheep’s wool, a natural fiber known for its durability and warmth, ideal for cold and temperate climates. Its beauty lies in the purity of its original weave, preserved in its entirety. In our atelier, the piece is finished with solid bronze hardware and a strap in genuine bovine leather—achieving a subtle balance between artisanal sobriety and refined sophistication. A mochila with history, woven with the spirit of the mountains and the essence of a brand that began with it.
